My staff and I welcome all dancers to the 2011 Summer Festival hosted by the Portland Area Council and its member clubs. We hope everyone enjoys a great weekend of dancing and other activities we designed with you in mind.

Located at the west end of the beautiful Columbia River Gorge, the cities of Troutdale, Fairview, Wood Village, and Gresham offers numerous hotels and motels for your convenience. RV parking, great restaurants, shops, malls, movie theaters and golf courses are also available.

We will have tours of OMSI and the Blueback submarine Friday and Saturday afternoons with a USO Show (theater-style setting) to follow Saturday evening. All information about these events is located inside the program directory.

The festival offers something for everyone with plenty of dancing for all. Watch for the showcase of rounds Friday evening. A youth/teen dance is scheduled. Be sure to check out the schedule and participate in all these events as well as workshops.

Please say hello to the callers and cuers participating in our festival. They all work hard at their profession of providing our entertainment. When you see a summer festival committee person or a PAC volunteer, pat him or her on the back and say thank you for working so hard to put this event together.
